When I was looking for the English name of this plant I stumbled upon a discussion where people talked about the red variation of this shrub. Some said it was Pink Hawthorn others said it was pink flowering thorn and a third party called the red version "Paul's Scarlet" or scarlet thorn.
Good that I took a picture of the white one
even though I prefer the red
